Fat is the Movement... The Return
Remember the days when I video blogged my weight loss journey? It’s possible you don’t, I haven’t done it in nearly four years. But, I’m bringing it back, starting next week. I’m actually working on a big video project centered around my weight loss journey and all the people/things that have come together to help make it happen. For the record, I’ve already...
I watched a couple movies tonight...
…and I think you should too.
I’ve been debating talking about this since I saw this story air on the local news… I decided not to keep my mouth shut. Watch the video, then read my comments. Is it possible to get decent wedding on the cheap? Yes. Is your quality going to be questionable? Possibly. Do I sympathize for people who don’t have a $25k budget? Absolutely. Is there such a thing as a quality <$1k...
Time to play catch up...
Here is my once-a-quarter bullet-point blog post catching up all my friends all over the country with what’s been going on. Because, you know… everyone cares =)
Becca turned nine months old a week ago. It’s insane how fast time flies. She’s also crawling like a champ now, and has just started pulling herself up to standing position using furniture (or our hands). She gets...
This video does a lot to explain why I love my job, my church, my leaders, my community, and my city so much. I am honestly blown away by some of the nice things the people in this video said, and I cannot even begin to explain how pumped I am to get this campus up and running. (even if it HAS been fifteen years and they’re still spelling our name Cedar Creek instead of CedarCreek =))
We stand. We rise. We give. Our Lives. This video is nothing special. The audio is where it’s at (Destroy, by Worth Dying For) I was asked to put together a quick “lyric” video for it, to open our monthly New Community service this weekend. I thought with the power of the spoken word in it I would just keep it simple. That said, regardless of the simplicity of the video, it moved...
An entire ALBUM of this?! YES PLEASE. Eddie Vedder + Ukulele = WIN.
Last time I’ll mention OBL. Anderson Cooper knocked it out of the park with this. Thanks Christy for pointing me to it.
I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great...

On Osama's Death, Thoughts, Celebrations
Well. I slept on it. Six-ish hours to be exact. Last night before I went to bed, I felt little on the news of bin Laden being put to death in a US Navy Seals raid. I felt excited he was gone, and I certainly felt no remorse towards his death. But I was indifferent to the news of people taking to the streets, celebrating, or anyone else celebrating. I told a friend that perhaps I would feel...
